On Wednesday April 25th, 2018, business leaders from across New York State will convene for the 5th Annual Sustainable Business Summit at our state capitol.
This year’s summit will include networking, briefs on select state policy issues, an orientation to the NYS legislature, and meetings with key elected officials and their staff. We would love your input and your participation. Share your perspective on NYS policy via this short survey.
Our elected officials are listening to business owners. What they hear depends on who shows up. As you might imagine, they hear most from the large corporations. April 24th is your day, and we will provide you the tools you need. In addition to expert briefings on key policies, you will be equipped with legislator bios, bill summaries, NYSBC memos for each bill, and a family of like-minded business leaders. At the meetings, everyone will have the opportunity to speak and contribute their own business story as relates to the issues being discussed.
At our last summit, NYSBC business leaders spoke with elected officials in support of New York State legislative bills related to single payer healthcare, worker-owned cooperatives, wage theft, chemical disclosure, fracking waste, and fossil fuel divestment. Each year, our business leaders open doors and help advance policies to support a more just and sustainable economy in New York State.
